The roman conspiracy of the night sky
Roman Mythology of night sky is quite the same because they have the same gods with the exception of having different names. Many of the Romans related the gods to the planets because they thought planets were just wandering stars. An example of this is Mercury, Mercury is the winged messenger god but he also happens to be the god of thievery, selling and travel. The planet is said to be named because of the rate at which it spins.
Another Roman god that was named after a planet is Jupiter, Jupiter was the king of Roman gods. He was the most important and most respected god. The planet Jupiter is the biggest planet in the solar system that in it's self explains why Jupiter being the most important god was named after the largest planet.
Caelus is the god of the sky in Roman mythology, he is also really important as though he is the god of the heavens. He is the roman equivalent to the greek god Uranus.
